SINGLE-USE BACTERIAL-VIRAL BREATHING FILTER

Provides maximum bacterial and viral filtration of the respiratory gas mixture (filtration effciency not less than 99.999%) combined with low flow resistance. Filtration methods: electrostatic, mechanical.

Prevents cross-contamination of the patient’s airways through breathing circuit components.

Protects the patient from pathogenic microflora in the humidifier.

Reduces the risk of airborne infection transmission through respiratory therapy equipment for both personnel and patients.

The filter may include a heat and moisture exchanger (HME) made of hydrophobic material or foam material. In combination with air Þltration, it imitates the natural humidiÞcation of the upper respiratory tract by collecting heat and moisture from the patient’s exhaled air; the accumulated heat and moisture warm and humidify the inhaled air.

The filter has standardized connectors for connection with breathing circuits and other medical devices.

A Luer-lock port for capnography (CO2), protective cap, and elastic plug may be available. The Þlter housing includes marking indicating orientation toward the patient (“patient side”).

The lightweight version of bacterial-viral Þlters, due to its low weight, does not exert additional pressure on the patient’s airway tissues.

The spirometry filter provides maximum bacterial and viral Þltration (Þltration efÞciency not less than 99.999%) of exhaled/inhaled air, prevents infectious agents from entering spirometry equipment and the surrounding air during examination, thereby ensuring protection of patients and medical personnel, also has low airflow resistance, which ensures high measurement accuracy
